On Friday October 5th at 8pm, Depth Of Field will be bringing the noise and action back to New York Comic-Con for the seventh straight year of our Hip-Hop And Comics: Cultures Combining panel, with an all-star assemblage of speakers and a newly expanded visual presentation.
This program will touch on subjects including the long-standing links between comic books and Hip-Hop; their innate political and social impact; how they incorporate and influence aspects of popular culture such as graphic design, graffiti/street art, dance, animation, and other creative forms; and how both comics and Hip-Hop grew from humble beginnings in New York City to achieve worldwide recognition.
Panelists will include:

- Larry Stroman (artist, co-creator of Tribe, the best-selling African-American comic of all time)
- Pete Rock (legendary producer and DJ)
- James Reitano (comic creator, graphic designer, Madvillain designer/animator)
