Depth Of Field Magazine brings together comic creators and Hip-Hop luminaries to discuss the shared history and inspirations of the two forms
On Saturday, June 29th, at 3pm, Depth Of Field Magazine is proud to present Hip-Hop And Comics: Cultures Combining, a panel discussion at the Wizard World Comic Con NYC Experience. This hour-long program will feature musical and visual artists shedding light on the common influences of comics and Hip-Hop, dissecting their common iconography, and discussing current and upcoming projects. This presentation follows Depth Of Field’s acclaimed Hip-Hop/Comics panels at New York Comic-Con, WonderCon Anaheim, Heroes Con, and other conventions and festivals around the country.
Patrick Reed (editor of Depth Of Field Magazine) will moderate, and the panelists include:
-Eric Orr (graffiti and fine artist, graphic designer, creator of Rappin’ Max Robot)
-Jean Grae (celebrated MC and producer)
-Ronald Wimberly (creator of Vertigo’s Prince Of Cats graphic novel, artist of Vertigo’s Sentences: The Life of M.F. Grimm graphic novel)
-Matthew Rosenberg (author, Ghostface Killah’s ’12 Reasons To Die’ comic)
-Julian Voloj (creator of the forthcoming Warrior/Peacemaker graphic novel)
-Adam ‘ILLUS’ Wallenta (graphic designer, illustrator, MC)
